Another weekend
Another weekend has passed this one cosisted of dvd’s, movies and drinking although not in that order.
I came home Friday sat down and watching Babylon 5 until 11ish then went out drinking saw Ron and Ragesh, Haven’t seen Ragesh in 2 years or so heh. Came home early cause wasn’t feel too good (stomache ache) and watched more Babylon 5 went to bed. Woke up in the morning at about 9ish watched babylon 5 until 5ish when Jason came arround went to see saw 2 (more later) dropped around and saw Ron after, got some food went out back to Jasons watched some red dwarf went out drank some more with ron and Jason, Came home watched Bablyon 5 went to bed. Woke up sunday morning Watched more babylon 5 breaking only to fetch lunch until 7ish when I went to see Prime with Raina, came home watched more babylon 5 and went to bed.
Heh I guess I watched close to 2 seasons of babylon 5 maybe a bit less over the weekend..the show is just good entertainment even though I have seen it before.
Saw 2
The sequel to Saw and unlike most sequels this one was pretty good. It is not a movie for the faint of heart. If you enjoyed saw you will probably enjoy saw 2 its more of the same really with a nice twist. It is not as good as the first but still decent enough. I would rate it about a 3 thumbs up and ewww needle in a haystack.
I was considering the episodes of B5 i have recently rewatched ( and while It would be great to travel amongst the stars as they do I doubt it will happen in my life time (unfortunately)) and one of the races called the Vorlon always ask “Who are you?” in one episode they introduce an “Inquisitor” who keeps asking the question of one of the main characters Delen asking her to answer without any point of reference (eg No title, no family, no job etc).
I started thinking about that and realised (probably as was the point) many people (myself included) define themselves by referencing things like money, titles, job etc instead of who they are or what their interests are.
So who am i?
I’m a geek, I love to watch scifi as I lack the imagination to read and visualise. I enjoy conversation on topics that interest me but mostly dislike and distrust people. I am happy to spend long periods alone. I love to learn and expand my limited knowledge, I enjoy programming and computer games, drinking and movies all of which are relativly passive. I dislike the sunlight (or any bright light come to think of it (irritates my eyes)), stupid people, organised religion, ignorance, arrogance, greed, those that don’t appreciate others or what they have and the small minded.
That is only the shortlist of dislikes btw the long list wouldn’t paint a great picture :P. Who I am is a combination of my likes and dislikes and how they affect how I interact with the world.
