Well works user conference ended today. When I got to it yesturday afternoon i was told everyone had been looking for me so I hid my name tag by pegging it to my button up shirt sideways then covering it with my sunnies..it kinda worked in that people didn’t notice me except that some of the other staff members would introduce me to people OR people who had been introduced would say “Hi Karl!” and everyone near enough to hear would look around…

I was told this morning there was a pool on what I looked like with our Darwin customers. I heard other people had theorised that I didn’t exsist, I was a computer or something similar this was because I didn’t attend either of the dinners and made my self scarse when I was there (I din’t really want to be there and I don’t really like people).

But before that…When I was walking over to the office this morning after droping my washing off I saw Gary in his maxi cab I started talking then noticed the Tshirt one of the people in the cab was wearing “the learning place” (a customer) I said something about work having a stupid conference and oh it looks like you got some of our attendees there headed out to pacific bay? he said yes I said ahh and walked off. When I got to pacific bay I was told by the people who were in the cab that gary has said “that was karl” and they all said “Karl..the Karl..blah blah” apprently they yelled out but I ignored them but I don’t recall hearing them anyway it was funny because one of them had said they had been looking for me since wed night and boom there I was.

Unfortunately Greg who was cohosting the conference had heard about people wanting to meet me so this morning in front of everyone he gave thanks to the support people and mentioned everyone wanted to meet this “Karl” person at which point he pointed at me and got me to stand up. I got 2 rounds of applause from our guests (which was nice) but I didn’t want the attention it was nice but unwelcomed..Since then I have spoken to many many people and I have been able to put faces to the names of the people who ring and annoy me.

I hate attention unless I am trying to earn it..damn people.
