Holidays over
Welp my break is over and I am back at work, how unfortunate.
So over the break period what did I get upto lets see.
I finished watching all the sg-1 i own on dvd, only had series 7 and 8 to go.
I saw a few movies, King Kong, Chronicles of Narnia, Domino and Fun with Dick and jane
I downloaded and watched season 1-4 of smallville
I played with my new PDA a Palm T|X on the last few days.
Had Christmas (got a new wallet and a Carl Baron DVD :))
SG-1 is still great even the second time through (the dvd’s 3rd time watching most eps), only thing that annoys me is their sometimes lack of security on base oh and the lack of common sense a lot of the time.
Smallville, I watched this when it first came out (2000ish here) and I enjoyed it I have always liked the superman character he is cool :P. The show got shafted by channel 9 here and droped mid way through season 2, CHannel 10 picked it up but showed it from part way through series 2 about 4 eps on from where 9 dropped it. I missed a few episodes so i figured I would download all I could find and not have to watch ads or be home to watch it.
The show itself is ok except it can get tedious I mean how many times over the 4 years have Clarks friends been knocked out while he saves them and protects his identity, how many times is he gonna come close to telling Lana ‘love of his life’ lang his secret and then not do it.
Ok on the movies.
King Kong – Great CG although some of it was really not needed like the whole dinosaur in the valley chase scene, oh and the spindly woman on top of the empire state building where the winds would have blown her off was dumb when it was first done and dumberer when redone. Other than those 2 points it was a good movie I enjoyed it and give it 3 thumbs up.
Chronicles of Narnia – Excellent movie, The CG on the Lion was excellent and the story and casting was great. I’ve not read the books so I can not speak to how true it is but i enjoyed it 4.5 thumbs up for this.
Domino – This was one i wanted to see but no one else I knew did so I went alone, it wasn’t as good as I expected but it was bearable definately not gonna win any awards though 2 thumbs up for this one.
Umm anything else? not that I can think of except my palm rocks and I have found several open wireless networks around the place hehe.
Oh yeah it sucks to be back at work :(
