So I haven’t posted for a while I think its time for an update
So Karl what have you been up to?
I’ve seen a bunch of movies and watched a bunch of tv shows and spent time with friends. Of the movies I have seen Batman The Dark Knight stood out as the best one this year..what an excellent movie. Others worthy of mention mostly because I enjoyed them Hancock, Indiana Jones 4, Ironman, The Incredible Hulk. Movies that get a mention because you should avoid them Wanted, Love Guru.
On the TV front I have spread the word of dexter and got a few of my workmates and friends watching it, I have watched many a series and am currently watching the weekly episodes of burn notice, eureka, stargate atlantis, the middleman and weeds. I have also been rewatching babylon 5 and for the first time a show called John Doe.
Work has changed a little I am no long doing Level 1 support and my stuff has moved I’m now in the poorly named hosting unit and my duties are primarily System Admin stuff and some higher level support. I have to say the change has been good and bad..there are many things in use that I am now expected to manage that I know jack all about but fake it anyway, but the best part is not being on the phones even if I do have a manger I have to train.

I took the Thursday before Good Friday off and flew down to visit the folks. Gotta say 1hr plane ride then a 2 hour car ride isn’t great but it beats 9hr drive. This country needs some decent rail systems or something and better air coverage of regional areas.
I think a high speed train between towns would be great..not high speed like the XPT is supposed to be (180km/h my arse) high high speed..of course we would need an arse load of new infrastructure to do that.
My long weekend consisted of much austar, talking to parents, some beer, talking to brother, some car travel and some pool it was pretty good. I also had a tasty garlic sausage roll that I want more of.
I got back on Monday and had a great shower to wash the smoker smell off me then went to Raina’s and watched some sga, talked and had pizza!
I hate mondays and I miss the weekend.
I watched a bit of classic dr who this weekend, some sg-1 and shoot em up again it was pretty good..also played some hellgate london which is fun but shits me at times when it crashes in the middle of kicking some arse and i have to play through the same levels over and over again.
Firday night was spent watching tv shows I had downloaded, downloading more TV shows and watching DVD’s it was entertaining. Saturday I played games, watched tv shows until midday when I went to lunch with Raina, Went to Mangrove Jacks and had a nice schnapper thinger. After lunch we went and watched Xmen 2 at my place and then went and got some noodles and some more DVD’s. The rest of the night was spent watching DVD’s We watched Charlie and the Chocolate factory (good), Red Eye (Ok) and Hostage (Ok). After that I went home.
Sunday I played games watched some downloaded SG-1 and had a driving lesson, the first time I had driven in 2 years or so. Raina’s car is nice to drive. After that I went home and watched more SG-1 until Jason came over and picked me up and we went to the hole known as Grafton. Went over to Josh’s got some KFC, played about 6 games of pool played a few hours of play station and headed back to Coffs.
Got back to Coffs at 9:10 went to see Underworld: Evolution at 9:15. I enjoyed this movie it was a nice action flick. If you are looking for something that is challenging or an insight into the human condition skip this. This movie is an action flick with vampires. The movie would have been better without the sex scene (Kate in latex is enough she doesn’t need to get nekkid as well) and less blind shooting. Seline (Kate) has been arround for 600 years you would think she would realise after having shoot a hybrid 2 dozen times and it doesn’t have a scratch she should try something else..but no she keeps trying to shoot!. 3/5 thumbs up for underworld.
A pretty good weekend all in all.
Welp my break is over and I am back at work, how unfortunate.
